"I arrived at the theater opening night with my daughter and her friend (both age 13) of course I expected the typical Maurer production: visually beautiful and respectful and true to the original stript. The show was fabulous! The story was exactly how I remembered it from the movie and the actors dealt with the tough issues of race and segregation with reverence and grace. When the house lights came up I was sobbing (and embarrassed) The girls loved it too. It's a timeless story that speaks to all generations. "I saw the show opening night, and I recommend it without reservations. If you are wary of going to see the show because it is "serious," go by a ticket now. You'll be thoroughly entertained. For the younger audience members, you need to see this to see the African American experience of just a few years back. For those of us who are old enough to remember how it was, you need to see this to appreciate how far we've come...and how far we have to go. For theatre buffs, you need to see this to see three actors shine and a first-rate production. But you all need to see this to see Lynn Baskin SHINE. His performance is something you'll cherish forever. By all means, go!

"I saw the show Saturday night and it was absolutely fantastic. If I had any reservations about the concept of a three person show, they disapeared right away because these three actors command the stage as well as any large cast.

The show was absolutely awesome, and I would recomend it to anyone!"

"I saw the show Saturday. As with all mponstage productions, the set with all its details was amazing.

The actors did an excellent job of drawing us in to their story, but Lynn Baskin was superb. All the actors were aged due to the magic of makeup (the men more convincingly than Daisy), but Lynn's ability to show the physical ravages of time - from his shaking hands to his uncertain step - was uncanny and the most convincing.

If one were really looking for flaws, they could be found - a telephone call answered before it was placed, the occasional lack of opening or closing the imaginary car doors... but these things were minor and easily overlooked in the entirety of an outstanding evening of community theater.

Thank you mponstage and all those associated with the production for staging a touching story with skill and grace."

"I took two of my son's to see the show Friday night of the second weekend. I had been holding off sending my comments because I wasnt really sure how to express how I really felt about the show and realized that was exactly it. Speechless....I am speechless. What a beautiful, touching story for all ages to experience. The cast of three were so real they didn't seem like actors they were those characters. The beautiful set made you feel like you were sitting right there in the middle of this story! I loved it, the boys loved it, everyone there loved it. Congrats to Maurer Productions. "My wife and I and another couple saw Driving Miss Daisy on Saturday night. I just wanted to let you know that it was one of the best productions that we have seen so far at the Kelsey Theatre. We see about 6 or 7 plays a year there.

The performers did a fantastic job and what was most impressive was the subtle way the actors aged during the play.
