West Windsor, N.J. – Veteran actors whose career and twenty-year marriage are both fading provide a humorous and touching glimpse backstage. As Maurer Productions OnStage presents the Ed Dixon’s comedy “Scenery” at Mercer County Community College’s Kelsey Theatre.

Dates and show times for Ed Dixon’s comedy are Fridays and Saturdays, Feb 4, 5, 11, & 12, 2022 at 8:00 pm and Sundays, Feb 6 & 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm.

Kelsey Theatre is located on MCCC’s West Windsor Campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Set in the star dressing room of the Belasco Theater, this comedy focuses on a pair of successful New York veteran actors, married for 20 years. This theatrical romp lets us laugh at and examine our definitions of art, marriage, and partnership. MPOnStage presents this humorous and touching glimpse backstage, driven by mature themes, and lightly peppered with adult humor and strong language. Parental discretion is advised.

The cast features Laurie Hardy of Hamilton, NJ as Marion Crain and Thom Carroll of Raritan, NJ as Richard Crain.

The show is directed by Judi Parrish and produced by John & Diana Maurer. Other members of the production team are Stage Manager Jennifer Boutros, Costume Designer Ruth Schanbacher, Master Carpenter Jeff Cantor, Sound Engineer Evan Paine, and Prop Master Jill Katz.
